Mela's four month portrait session - Silver Spring Baby Photographer

In April we photographed the 4 month session of baby Mela at our Silver Spring photography studio. This session is the second of 4 that we will take during baby Mela's first year of life - the others are the newborn session, eight months and 12 months. During each session we capture an image that will be included in a special photographic Art Piece (called the Baby Panel) that is included in our Baby Plan. Ethan's Six Month Baby Portrait Session - Silver Spring, MD photographer

In June we were delighted to photograph the 6 month session of baby Ethan at our Silver Spring photography studio. 'Bare Studio Workshop' - Photographer Training in Ashburn

Really enjoyed teaching our latest class, 'The Bare Studio: Improvising Inside the Box', with my friend Roger Hammons at his studio in Ashburn, Virginia last Wednesday.

For this workshop we choose to work with an empty studio (no lights, posing aids or backgrounds ) and see how creative we could be finding light and creating great poses with that light. Our models did an excellent job and made our job so easy:-) - thank you Autumn and Katie!

January marked the final photo shoot in baby Nora's year long Baby Plan. We created an album detailing her first year of life from her three month session through six, nine and twelve months. Albums are a wonderful way of remembering all the many moments, faces and moods that make baby's first year so special.

New Born Baby album for Grandparents - Silver Spring, MD portrait photographer

We were so happy to recently welcome back Idalia and Kei to photograph their beautiful newborn baby girl - in 2006 we photographed their wedding in Rockville. This album was produced for Kei's parents who are returning to Japan later this month. The album has a unique design incorporating a plush luxurious leather with a delightful cover photograph and title. Please enjoy the images in the reveal video:

12 month Baby Plan portrait session by Silver Spring MD newborn baby photographer

On January 20th we photographed the one year portrait session for baby Nora as part of our year long Baby Plan. This session is the 4th and final one of Nora's first year of life. Baby Nora has grown so much since we first photographed her at 3 months. She is now walking around like crazy all by herself. During each of our 4 portrait sessions we have captured an image that will be included in a special photographic Art Piece (called the Baby Panel) that is included in our Baby Plan. We have chosen the image below for the final spot on our Baby Panel:

9 month Baby Plan session by Silver Spring newborn baby photographer

October 15th marked the 9 month baby portrait session for baby Nora as part of our Baby Plan. This session is the third of 4 that we will take during baby Nora's first year of life. Baby Nora has grown so much since we photographed her at 3 months. She has now started standing all by herself. We will photograph her again in January for her one year session. During each session we will capture an image that will be included in a special photographic Art Piece (called the Baby Panel) that is included in our Baby Plan. We have chosen the image below for the Baby Panel:

6 month Baby Plan session by Silver Spring newborn baby photographer

Baby Plan - 6 month photo session

July 1st marked the 6 month baby portrait session for baby Nora as part of our Baby Plan. This session is the second of 4 that we will take during baby Nora's first year of life - the remaining two are at 9 months and 12 months. Baby Nora has grown so much since we photographed her at 3 months. She is now sitting up all by herself and was full of smiles throughout the session. We will photograph her again in October for the 9 month session. During each session we will capture an image that will be included in a special photographic Art Piece (called the Baby Panel) that is included in our Baby Plan.
